Before your first website goes live, you need to decide three things: what kind of website it is, the platform you build it on, and the hosting plan and domain name.

step 01

Decide what kind of website it is

Profile sites, portfolios, news sites, online stores, blogs and forums are built in different ways. Once you know which one you are building, it is easier to choose a domain name that represents it and a hosting plan that fits.

Company, organization or personal profileWordPress, Joomla
PortfolioWordPress
NewsWordPress, Drupal
Online storeWordPress + WooCommerce, PrestaShop
BlogWordPress
ForumFlarum, SMF, phpBB
step 02

Choose a platform

There are two common ways to start building a website:

Write the code yourself

You decide every feature and every detail of the design. You need to know HTML, CSS and a programming language such as PHP, or work with a developer.

Use a CMS

A CMS (Content Management System) is a ready-made website script. Once it is installed, you pick a theme and add pages and posts from a dashboard, without writing code.

When you order hosting at Jetorbit, you can pick an application to install as soon as the hosting is active: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Flarum Forum or Laravel.

step 03

Choose a hosting plan and domain

Price and features decide which hosting suits your website. Jetorbit Cloud Hosting comes in three series:

  • Cloud Hosting LiteFor your first website, a blog, portfolio or company profile.
  • Cloud Hosting ProTuned for WordPress, WooCommerce and LMS plugins with AccelerateWP.
  • Cloud Hosting MaxGenerous resources for high traffic and NodeJS, Python or Ruby applications.

Domain name

You can buy the domain together with your hosting order. On orders of at least 1 year, Lite 4 and Pro 1 include a free domain for the first year, while Pro 2 to Pro 4 and the Max series include it for as long as the hosting stays active and is renewed for at least 1 year. Applies to .com .web.id .or.id .ac.id .sch.id .biz.id .my.id.
